What is an apostille and when do I need one?

What countries accept California apostilles?
Any country that signed the 1961 Hague Convention — over 124 countries including Mexico, Vietnam, China (via SAR), India, the UK, Germany, France, Brazil, and most of Europe and Latin America. For non-Hague countries we’ll let you know if embassy legalization is required instead.
Can you apostille a document that needs to be notarized first?
Yes — our Notary Public is on-site. Powers of attorney, affidavits, bank statements, and business documents that require notarization first can be notarized and apostilled in the same visit. No second trip required.
How much does an apostille cost in California?
Our prices include the state apostille fee and our service fee: $85 standard, $200 expedited, $350 rush and $450 same-day per document, depending on how fast you need it. Translation is extra. Call us at (408) 766-3528 and we’ll quote you in two minutes based on your exact situation.
Do you offer certified translation for foreign-language countries?
Yes. Spanish and Vietnamese translation are handled in-house. For other languages we coordinate certified translation as part of your order. Many countries that don’t speak English require certified translation alongside the apostille — we’ll let you know if yours does.
